Alexander has been informed by his bank that his personal account may only be used for private purposes and not for managing event-related payments.

from now on, all payments must be made to the Kappa Events business account.

For trips like this, involving multiple deposits and payments to hotels and other suppliers, a business account is required.

Thank you for your understanding. We kindly ask you to

make all future payments exclusively to the bank account indicated below.

We strongly emphasize this because payments made to any account other than the one indicated below

cannot be reliably identified and assigned to the correct participant.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM onwards.

(please do not arrive later than 8:30 PM)

For everyone who booked dinner at the hotel: there will be no fixed menu, and meals can be ordered à la carte.

As we will be around 40 people for dinner, I kindly ask you not to all arrive at 8:30 PM at the same time. If possible, please try to come a bit earlier and in staggered groups, so the kitchen and staff can manage all the orders more efficiently.

For those travelling independently with their bicycles and who prefer not to leave them in the car overnight: exceptionally (and very kindly), we have been allowed to bring the bicycles into the rooms, even though space may be limited.

Let them in the protective bags and blankets to avoid any dirt or damage.
As the departure the following morning will not be from the hotel, but from the Sports Center in Neuenburg (approximately 7 km from the hotel), there is no need to assemble the bicycles immediately, since they will need to be loaded again anyway in order to reach the starting point of our ride.

As many more people than expected are already staying on this first night, we are facing a small room availability issue.

We therefore kindly ask for your understanding and flexibility: 12 people can unfortunately not be accommodated in 6 double rooms. We are looking for 8 volunteers (4 of whom are already us, the Haegler Kühl family) willing to share 2 four-person rooms.

Who would be available to help?
Many thanks in advance to everyone willing to contact Karin directly.

The Giro Bici Schunk has grown over the past years into a large event. Originally, the idea was to organize a cycling tour together with Schunk customers, colleagues and friends, without any commercial intention.

As the event has grown and at the request of Schunk, we obtained legal advice and redefined the framework conditions. The aim is to keep the Giro a purely friendly event in the future and to exclude any liability for the volunteer organizers and the company Schunk.

The patronage of the event is assumed by Kappa Events (event agency of Karin Haegler). Kappa Events does not act as a tour operator and assumes no legal or financial responsibility.
The company Schunk is a sponsor of the event and likewise assumes no legal or financial responsibility.

All participants are strongly advised to have valid personal insurance coverage for travel abroad, including in particular:

travel luggage and bicycle insurance (covering theft, loss or damage)

Please read the liability waiver available in the DOWNLOADS section (Edition 2026) carefully. The printed and signed form must be submitted before the start of the Giro.

Without the signed waiver, participation is not permitted.

assicurazione bagaglio e bicicletta (furto, perdita o danni)

For some, the Giro begins on Wednesday evening, June 17, with early arrivals from further afield choosing to spend the night in Auggen. The official meeting point for all participants is on the morning of Thursday, June 18, at the Sport und Freizeitzentrum in Neuenburg, where cars can be parked before the first stage of the Giro Bici Schunk 2026 begins.

Each participant must make their own way to the start of the Giro in Neuenburg, taking care of their own luggage and bicycle transport.
